It might be a little hard to believe, but this is the first restaurant I’ve ever been to that has a trapeze. I was in college and that is when I became enthralled with the idea of being able to hang from a barbed wire fence and perform acrobatics off the wire. I still have that memory.
It’s true. I have this memory of going to the movies with my friend, and we were seated in a row. We were looking down at the floor, and he was trying to point out to me the exact spot on the floor where the rope was attached. It was very, very funny.
For the past year, I’ve been a regular at the Trapeze Club, a restaurant in downtown Indianapolis. It’s a small space, and there are only a few tables, but it is well-appointed and is definitely worth the visit if you have the chance to go out for dinner. The food menu is extensive and includes a wide variety of different entrees.
The trapeze club offers a unique kind of entertainment. You can sit in a chair on the edge of the table and let the trapeze artist (usually a very good friend of the restaurant) do all of the work for you. The artist uses a series of rope and weights that he or she puts into the air and then guides your body up to the edge of the table. I think this is one of the more unique things Ive seen in a while.
As the owner of the trapeze club, you are not allowed to touch the rope and weights that the artist uses. So when the artist is working on you, you are not allowed to look at the ropes and they work on you. The artist can only control you for about 8-10 seconds at a time, during which time they use their rope, which you can see below.
I think this might be a good learning tool for beginners, and really helps with self-awareness. If you are a newbie and you don’t know how to handle the ropes, then this is a great way to bring it back to you.
I love the way that the artist controls the rope with controls on the side. It also helps bring in a bit of self-awareness for those who are really new to this process.
There are many other great ways to bring awareness to this process, but this one is probably the most fun for newbies.
trapeze clubs are very popular at the gym. It’s a quick way to get your body into a position that will allow you to get a nice little aerial view of your surroundings while also strengthening your core and your core muscles.
The real beauty of this technique is that it doesn’t require any sort of gym equipment. But if you do have a gym, or are on a tight budget, it could be a good idea to invest in one for your home. You can also use a trapeze club to make your bed, or to get into a nice warm shower, or to help you learn a new dance.
