I think it’s not fair that it’s been an entire year since this question was asked. This is the first year I’ve actually answered it. I’ve tried to be an advocate for change. The thing that makes ua 421 stand out from all of the other stealth games is its emphasis on personality. In ua 421, you play as a young girl named Chloe (or Chloe, to be completely honest) who is trying to survive in the world in the aftermath of a disaster. We’re told that the other people in the world are all trying to survive with similar backgrounds and it’s up to you to make it easier for them.
But it’s not just gameplay that makes ua 421 stand out. The game is also much more than that. It also has a story, and for good reason. In addition to being about survival, ua 421 also has a narrative about a girl named Chloe who was raised in a violent home but ended up being rescued by a man named Will. Will is someone who doesn’t want to be a hero, but he is able to save Chloe from certain death if he tries.
ua 421 is a game that is very much about survival. But at the same time, it tells a story about a very good person trying to do the right thing. Well, for one, it’s told from Chloe’s point of view. We can see how she views things and what she’s thinking.
Chloes story is told from the perspective of someone who isnt a hero, but a survivor. However, this is because if a game tells us something from the perspective of a hero, it has to be a pretty good one. A game that tells us from the perspective of a survivor not a hero is just a game that doesn’t have to be.
But if you are a hero, you are a hero, and you dont get to leave. That’s the thing. If you dont leave, you die. For any given hero, there is a very real chance that you could die. This is why we have to play these games. A hero can only play and enjoy the very best. They will never be able to do anything but save the day and take out bad guys. The very best, the very best.
It’s not just in the stories. It’s also in the dialogue. When the developers talk to you about the stories, they have a very strong and positive bias for how the stories should play out. They’re not just saying that every time you hear the words “hero,” you should be thanking them for making you a hero. They know that if it doesn’t happen the way they want, the game will suck and be a joke.
I know this is going to sound weird, but I feel like there are very few people who fully understand the nuance of the way the word hero is used in videogames, but I do too. I really am one of those people.
