How do you know what to buy in Japan? Well, just ask. And you can go to the local farm stores, the Japanese markets, or the local department stores and ask if they have any Japanese herb and garden products. The answer is almost always yes (or maybe, if they have a few varieties in stock). All you need to do is look for the one product that most of the locals will tell you is the best of the three they have to offer.
It’s the same in Japan. I can go to an urban market and see hundreds and hundreds of items that Japanans will tell me are the best of the three they have to offer. It’s the same with Japanese gardens. Most of the locals will tell you to buy the best of the three you can find, but you can buy any garden you want if you look hard enough.
So what does that have to do with this? Well, in the olden days, Japan was the land of the rising sun, a place of great culture, and the home of samurai and ninja. But in the late 1800’s, Japan, like many other Asian countries, went so far as to ban the practice of gardening due to the “unhealthy effects on the environment” that it was believed to have on the Japanese.
If you think about that from a historical perspective, you’ll probably think about something pretty interesting. The Japanese have a long tradition of gardening, but they seem to have largely stopped making it a part of their culture. And that’s a problem. Sure, you can buy garden plants, but they’re not a part of the Japanese culture and they’re not a part of the Japanese psyche.
The Japanese also have very few gardeners. People like to live in the country, so when they have a bad garden they can usually find a farmer who can fix it. This is because the Japanese usually focus on their health and their food, not on the things that grow inside of them. This leads to a lack of attention to the beauty that grows within the Japanese psyche.
This is a problem because there are many ways to do things in gardens that are completely pointless and yet are necessary as some small part of the Japanese culture. The garden is an empty and silent space. This is the space a Japanese person lives in. So when you buy a garden plant you are buying the space their soul resides within.
One part of Japanese culture that is often overlooked is the fact that the garden is a symbol of an entire culture. The garden is a place where Japanese people can focus on the things they love. It is a place where the Japanese grow up to be. This is a problem because as Japan gets more and more influenced by the West, it loses all ability to find it’s own way without the West’s influence.
It is this loss of a sense of uniqueness and individuality that is behind the many Japanese gardens that have been replaced with generic or generic looking gardens like these. The new garden designs simply don’t reflect the history of Japanese society. And that’s a problem for everyone.
There are many things that Japan has lost, but its only recently that it lost its uniqueness as a nation. One of these is the idea of individuality. Japan was at one time a land of individuals. Even today, it seems that even before the war, Japan was an area where you could find a person of any race and religion. It was not unusual to find a guy who was blind from birth due to some illness.
The Japanese culture in general is quite unique in that area. It is very hard not to notice a person in Japan and think, “Wow… that’s cool!” But after all of the people in Japan have been obliterated, the people of Japan are left to do everything on their own. This is very frustrating for people who are not Japanese.
