The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

Our minds are so well-worn by our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions that we can’t even notice them anymore. We just go about our lives, doing the same thing over and over with the same results. It’s as if we’re on autopilot. And the result is that we’re never aware of what’s happening to us, because we’re so used to doing the same thing over and over again.

A person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, “Hmm… every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas. That might not be a coincidence,” a person without self-awareness just hits the bottle and doesn’t look back.

The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we over analyze the “good” things, the “bad” things, and the “what’s happening right now.” Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.

It’s a game that’s already played out (and won) the entire time-loop, and this trailer gives us a good idea of what to expect in the game as it’s going on. We’ll definitely be seeing some of the coolest powers we’ve ever seen and some of the craziest fashion. It’s also got some very cool gameplay mechanics, as you can actually play Deathloop without needing to use any special powers to get through the game.

We’ve seen some nice action sequences in Deathloop, but this trailer really shines in its visuals and action. The trailer also gives us a few hints about the game’s story, which we’ll share with you in our review.

Deathloop is a pretty awesome game and as you will see in our review, we love it. It’s a great example of how a game can take a lot of creative liberties with a concept. Sometimes the changes made to the idea make it work better and sometimes some of these changes are just silly. The Deathloop trailer really shines because of the way it shows off all of these unique features. Check out the trailer below.
