We have had a day that we were quite occupied with work or school, but we didn’t quite notice the time, much less think about it. We were quite distracted, however, and we made a mental note to have a better handle on the time.
Well, you might be thinking, “but I’m not even in school right now.
Not everyone knows that 40,000 hours is when you’re born, so if you are going to make a habit of thinking about time, you might want to do some research first. And if you don’t want to do research, then you might want to take a nap.
I’d like to think that our lack of sleep is a good thing, but it’s hard to know how effective we are at dealing with life’s distractions. It’s definitely time-consuming, but we’re still a long ways from having a good handle on the time. And if we are to be honest with ourselves, we do like how we can sleep through the odd nap and not miss much in the morning.
I do think that our life is a bit more complicated than most. And I do mean complicated. Because when you’re having a life so you can sleep, you also have to deal with a lot of other problems in your life and in your world. As a result, you’re usually pretty busy, and sleep is a great way to make sure you’re not bored.
But I do have to say that I like how it feels to sleep through the night. I like knowing that a few hours after I fall asleep my thoughts are pretty much focused on something else. It also helps that I’ve been a long time couch potato, and that I just love watching TV. It’s not like my life has been pretty empty, but I also do love to read.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always thought that a lot of people are sleep deprived. Sleep, like caffeine, is a great way to wake up feeling pretty darn good. But since the majority of us have more time to sleep and less time to accomplish things, it’s pretty awesome to wake up feeling pretty damn good.
I think the average human has about 4000 hours of sleep each year. So 4000 hours of sleep per year isn’t that unusual. I think it’s pretty normal to have an average of 2000 hours of sleep per week. That’s pretty good for most people though as most people probably sleep between 9 and 7 hours per night.
A lot of people have at least 200 hours of sleep per week. So you’ve got a lot of people sleeping around 9pm, and then they get up at 8am, and then they go to 7am for 8 hours, and then they run to 7pm, and then they go to 9am to sleep. Thats about a half hour for most people.
I would call that a lot of time. I don’t think it’s a big deal to be more productive over a few days, but it’s a lot. And you could argue that it could be your best days, or that the rest of your life might be a lot of boring.
