is film school worth it

Yes, film school could be the most important decision you will make in your life. If you’re serious about your future, you better make sure you’re in the right place at the right time. Make sure you have an instructor you can trust, and an environment where you can feel comfortable.

At least in the past the college/university film program was a place for the self-satisfied to get some extra tuition money and the rest of us to have a good time. That seemed like the norm for most of the 70s and 80s, but in the mid-90s things changed.

The good news is that film school hasn’t changed in any way since the 90s. In fact, it’s become a bit more competitive as more and more people go through it. Here’s why: It’s a great place to get out of your comfort zone. It’s a great chance to work on your confidence. It’s a great opportunity to find your passion.

Film school is not an easy place to get into, but if you are the type who is a bit of a risk taker, you might want to take it. It is a good place to develop and polish your skills to the point that you can get a job doing something you love. A lot of people, including myself, get a bit distracted by the “intellect” on film school. What I mean by that is that they are not really all that good students.

I have a theory about why this is happening. I think there is a very common, and I think it is probably a good one, kind of cultural thing. Film school is such a popular university in the US that there are a lot of people who don’t want to go to film school because they are afraid they would be judged as being less intelligent than most of the other students. They are afraid of being judged as being unable to think critically about their chosen field of study.

This is the same type of fear that many people have about going to college. I am talking about the fear that many people have when they first get a job, and the fear that many people have when they get married. The whole notion that it is a “professional” and “career” like career where you have to learn what you do not know, and you have to constantly learn more about yourself while doing it, is so appealing to some people.

I’m not saying my parents would have allowed me to go to college. I’m saying it’s a pretty safe bet that they would have been happy to have me as a full-time student.

I can see how that is appealing to some people. I actually think it’s a pretty safe bet that they would be glad that I was a full-time student.

Well that’s not really true. I went to college because my parents wanted it. I really did not know what I wanted to do when I graduated from college. But I was definitely not going to a school that wasn’t going to take me to a job I was interested in. And I honestly don’t think that a college education is worth it. College is not like high school where you get to learn about yourself and your interests.
