We have a lot going on in our lives at the moment — all kinds of work, family, and friends — so it’s a bit of a blur. The best part about it all, however, is that we can’t help but take in all of those moments and be grateful for them. It makes it all the more real and honest.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t stop talking about my life, even if I’m just sitting down right now. Its been over three weeks since I last saw my family, and I still can’t believe how much my life is changing. My partner and I are moving to a new location this summer. There have been so many changes in our lives and we’re still adjusting to those changes.
I have mentioned before how much I struggle with change, and I think it is because I am a very introverted person. I have to actively seek out new change and try to make the most out of the opportunities that I get. I also tend to have a hard time trusting my own judgement in certain situations. I have a very hard time when things dont go as planned, and this is one of those situations.
My parents have always been big olive growers, and we grew the first olive trees in our front yard back in the late 80s. My father passed away from a heart attack back then, and so we kept the olive trees pretty much as they were at that time, except we tried to keep the trees a little too close to the house. We did grow some more olive trees in the back yard, but one year we were out of luck and had to cut them down.
Olive trees are hard to get your hands on. While it’s not that hard to get a new tree, the best way to grow one at a time is by planting it deep in the ground. Olive trees are a bit trickier to plant in a big spot because they need a lot of space. So what I decided to do was to plant a couple of old olive trees that we had planted in the back yard, about a foot apart.
Olive trees are great for growing, and you can’t go wrong with anything that grows well in a dark corner of a yard. But I have to admit that we had no idea how easy it would be to plant one. We just planted it and told the kids to wait for an hour before digging. We’ve grown olive trees all over the place, but we don’t have anything like this one.
This is our olive tree. It looks great. The kids helped it out by getting it to grow a little bit faster. After a few short hours it just grew a little bit longer. By this time I was thinking the whole thing was about to fail. But the olive trees really do grow well.
We’re excited to tell you that we’ve grown a bunch of olives in a few weeks. But that’s not the olive tree. Our olive tree has been planted in a different location and is growing a little bit slower than the one that grew in our front yard. But we’re not worried. Olive trees are planted by nature and are pretty resilient.
For those who are interested, the olive trees in this commercial are actually grown in our front yard, but not in the olive garden.
The olive trees are actually growing the same way they did in the commercial. A portion of the tree is moved and planted in the front yard, but no one is actually growing it into a tree. It took some digging and planting to find a spot where the olive would grow.
