It’s also a way to preserve produce for future use. The concept of “souling out” as a way to save food has been around for some time. Recently, however, people are starting to use their gardens in a more creative way. In fact, two women I know have started to garden in their garages. These gardens are called “society gardens” because they are owned by others and are managed by the individual.
The individual can get in on the social side of the garden by giving back to society in a meaningful way. In my garage, which I don’t use very often, I’ve planted tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and more. I also have a few more varieties of berries that I’ve been working my way through.
I think the main reason people garden is because they are more self-oriented than we are. They don’t look to others to take care of their gardens. They are willing to use the garden themselves. If you want to use the garden as a social hub, by all means get busy with your own crops and add a few extras for the neighbors. But do it yourself.
I’m a gardener myself; I have a few more varieties of berries that I’ve been working my way through, plus a few other plants, but I also have a few extra plants that I was just given for free from a local friend. I think the main reason people garden is because they are more self-oriented than we are. They dont look to others to take care of their gardens. They are willing to use the garden themselves.
That’s because most people aren’t gardeners. They are busy taking care of their own gardens, and they’re willing to share them with others. But I think we can all use a little help from our neighbors to get our gardens growing. I’ve gotten a few small plants from people I know who don’t garden, but I think that if all the people in the world did a little bit of gardening, it could solve a lot of the world’s problems.
Many of the problems I think you’re talking about don’t actually have to do with gardens. Instead they could be solved by giving people more of an opportunity to take care of their own gardens. If you have a big backyard, you can use it to grow a garden. If you don’t have a big yard, I’m sure you can do it yourself if you have the right tools and a good idea.
Of course it can be done. I know a guy who makes gardeners grow cucumbers in his yard, and he makes a big deal of it. If you really want to, you can actually grow cucumbers with the taters. But it does require a bit of work. You have to get a few plants going and keep them watered and watered, and you probably have to get out of the house to do it.
The one question I always ask myself when I want to grow a garden is, “What do I get out of this?”. Sometimes I get a bunch of tomatoes and cucumbers from a friend, and I’m just happy to have them. But other times, I ask myself what the heck I’m doing. What do I get out of it? I guess I just get to be a part of some beautiful, healthy world.
In the video above, it appears that the garden is a little hard to get going. But with a little effort, there are all sorts of things you can grow. I like to get a little bit of basil, a handful of tomatoes, and a little bit of basil to add color to a salad or sprinkle on top of my pasta. The cucumbers I grow are a bit more labor intensive, but I love the taste of the cucumbers.
The idea of a society garden is that it’s a space where you can make decisions and make changes that affect the larger society. It’s a place where you don’t have to take the time to think about all the different problems you might face, but you can just make choices and feel good about them. For example, the garden in this video might end up being the place where some people decide to build a new house.
